Today marked the day of Professor Lauersen's promotion colloquium to be considered for Associate Professorship. During his presentation, he overviewed the complex history and opportunities in the algal biotechnology space, detailed the achievements of the SSB group since he joined KAUST in 2019, and discussed future goals to expand his research themes moving forward.
