Prof. Lauersen and Dr. Overmans traveled to Jubail to meet with industry collaborators of the chemical company Sipchem (Saudi International Petrochemical Company) at one of their production sites. The team presented the progress of an ongoing project that aims to valorize algal biomass, and discussed the potential of further collaborations. Also present were members of the KAUST research group led by Chemical Engineering Prof. Mani Sarathy from the PSE Division.
