Today, the first all hands meeting of the new KAUST Center of Excellence in Sustainable Food Security was held at KAUST. Prof. Lauersen presented the joint project “Demonstration facility for sustainable high-value proteins from low-value waste”. This project is together with industrial partner Radwa, and the teams of Prof. Mani Sarathy (KAUST PSE Division), Dr. Claudio Fuentes-Grünewald (Development of Algae Biotechnology in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Beacon Development), & Prof. Kyle J. Lauersen (KAUST BESE Division).
