KAUST Center of Excellence in Sustainable Food Security project 5934 “Demonstration facility for sustainable high-value proteins from low-value waste” had its kickoff meeting today at KAUST. In attendance were members from Development of Algae Biotechnology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (DAB-KSA, Dr. Claudio Fuentes-Grünewald), the Sustainable & Synthetic Biotechnology Group (Prof. Lauersen, Dr. de Freitas), Prof. Mani Sarathi’s team (Dr. Marco El-Dakar & Dr. Sushant Giri), and representatives from Saudi Radwa Food Co.
